The following books are damaged as described:
- So Far From the Bamboo Grove – Yoko Kawashima Watkins ISBN: 0-688-13115-8 (paperback) Large creases on both front and back cover, but clean pages and tight binding. Ex school book with “Used Book” stamped on it.
- River God – Wilbur Smith ISBN: 0-312-95446-8 (paperback) On this one, the cover is torn along the front and is beginning to come lose from the binding. All the pages are still intact. There is an inscription on the first page.
- The Catcher in the Rye – J.D. Salinger (paperback) This is an older copy; the cover is about halfway torn off. The pages are yellowed and stained from storage. I can’t find an ISBN number.
- Irish Dreams – Nora Roberts ISBN: 0-373-28541-8 (paperback) This one has some wavy pages, but is still readable.
- Cause of Death – Patricia Cornwell ISBN: 978-0-425-21338-4(paperback) The glue is failing on this book. The front cover is loose, and so is a 50 page chunk of the book.
- The Talisman – Stephen King & Peter Straub ISBN: 0-425-10533-4 (paperback) This one’s cover is loose, there is a small stain on the pages and there is some yellowing.
The Neverending Story - Michael Ende ISBN: 0-14-007431-7 (paperback) This book has a large amount of highlighting, underlining and notes in the margins. It can be a bit distracting, but the book is readable.- Under the Tuscan Sun - Frances Mayes ISBN:0-7679-1606-9 (paperback) There is nothing wrong with this book. It is only unpostable to me beacuse I already have a copy on my bookshelf.
- Stuff: The Secret Life of Everyday Things - John Ryan & Alan Durning ISBN: 1-886093-04-0 (paperback) This book is in perfect condition except that one sentence is highlighted.
- The Giver - Lois Lowry ISBN: 0-440-21907-8 (paperback) This book is just a little too worn for me to post. The cover is creased in several places and there are several pages that are folded and torn along the edges. There is also a name written in marker on the outside edge of the pages.
- Love in Ruins - Walker Percy ISBN:0-380-38984-3 (paperback) This book has scuffs on the front and back cover and some dirt/storage staines on the pages outer edges. The inside is clean and readable.
- Encounter With the Future - Fred Hoyle (paperback) This is an ex-library book with some dirt stains on the outer edges od the pages. I can't find an ISBN number.
- The Eye of the Child - Ruth Miller ISBN:0-86571-039-2 (paperback) This book has stains on the outer edges of the pages.
- Lilly on Dolphins: Humans of the Sea - John C. Lilly, MD ISBN: 0-385-01037-5 (paperback) This book has a large amount of staining on the outside edges of the pages. The cover is also clipped at one corner and creased on another.
- How Shall I Live - Richard Moss, MD ISBN: 0-89087-418-2 (paperback) This book has some staining on the outside edges of the pages as well as some highligting inside.
The following books came from a long-term storage shed. They are all readable, but are yellowed, stained, and musty.
- Jurassic Park – Michael Crichton UPC: 0-7099900699 (paperback) There are stickers on the back cover of this one.

- A Spell of Chameleon – Piers Anthony ISBN: 0-345-34753-6 (paperback)
- Everville – Clive Barker ISBN: 0-06-109308-4 (paperback) This one also has a torn cover.
- Being A Green Mother – Piers Anthony ISBN: 0-345-32223-1 (paperback) This one also has damage to the front and back covers. It looks like something nibbled on the edges.
